In 2006, I updated all of my prefabs to incorporate an automatic rezzing system: Rez-Faux by Lex Neva. This system replaces the Placement Sphere, which served for over two years as an easy way to setup your new home. With Rez-Faux, setting up your new home is even faster and requires less experience with the build tools.
How does the Rez-Faux work? It works by rezzing each part of the structure for you and aligns them perfectly. You can move and rotate your new home by simply moving and/or rotating the auto-rez box - each part of the house will follow.
How simple is this system? Here's all the steps necessary to get your new home up and ready for you to move in:
- Drag the auto-rezzer in-world
- Click the auto-rezzer - a dialogue box will appear
- Choose "Rez" from menu
- Fine-tune the position/rotation of build
- Click the auto-rezzer again - a dialogue box will appear
- Choose "Save"
- Delete auto-rezzer
- Move in
That's it! This system makes setting up your home so easy - it's amazing.
